New Conference Center with Meeting Space and Dining Hall

Shenandoah Hall is a charming and flexible dining facility that can accommodate up to 250 or be subdivided for groups as small as 15.  The delicious meals are served buffet style and the staff will work with guests on menu items, vegetarian alternatives, and special dietary needs. The views of the surrounding farmland and Sugarloaf Mountain encourage provide beauty and a warm, relaxing atmosphere for dining.

Monocacy Hall is a flexible conference and meeting space that accommodates groups of up to 200 people theater style but can also be subdivided into conference rooms comfortable for groups as small as 15.  Adjacent to the meeting rooms are conversation nooks that can be used as inviting breakout spaces.  Everything needed for a meeting is provided, from LCD projectors and wireless internet to access to coffee and tea service.   Floor Plan     The Claggett staff ensures setup to meet groups' expectations with Questionaire.

Overnight Accommodations

Doll Cottage (named after Bishop Doll) has eleven double occupancy rooms (with single beds), bathrooms that are shared with every two rooms and two large meeting spaces all under one roof. North Cottage offers eleven double occupancy rooms (with single beds), bathrooms that are shared with every two rooms, and one large meeting space all under the same roof. A small kitchenette provides space for snacks, coffee & tea service and a place for breakout groups if needed. A piano is provided in the meeting space. Linens and towels are provided. Farmhouse Cottage is ideally suited for small gatherings of up to ten people. Sleeping is two or three per room in a relaxed, home-like environment. There are three meeting spaces within the cottage. East Cottage offers bedrooms for small gatherings of six to ten people. Sleeping is two to three per room in a relaxed, home-like environment. Powell Hall offers dorm style rooms for groups of youth or adults up to 100 persons. The dining hall and
various size meeting rooms are conveniently located in the same building. (Linens and towels are

Our staff can offer guidance for the details of special events, handle reservations, plan meals and set up meeting spaces. Microwaves, refrigerators, flipcharts and A/V equipment are available.

Common Spaces

Common spaces that can be reserved by groups include the Chapel of St. Thomas Beckett in an old farm silo, St. Andrew's Chapel, the Outdoor Altar, swimming pool, pavilion, campfire circle and NEW Arts Center.

Saint Andrew’s Chapel offers a place for quiet meditation, prayer, reflection, worship services and meetings. Comfortable movable chairs (101) can be arranged to create different or unusual worship or conference configurations. A piano and screen are provided.
